Background
Jerry Peterson has spent over three decades at the intersection of organizational transformation, technology delivery, and human performance. His work synthesizes multiple disciplines that are rarely combined: Goldratt's Theory of Constraints, Daniel Pink's motivation research, Gene Kim's DevOps principles, and Mik Kersten's Flow Framework.
The Z Scale framework emerged from a simple observation: organizations that master process improvement still hit a wall. That wall is always human. Not because people aren't capable—but because the environment has trained them that capability is dangerous.
"Raising the Dead" is the culmination of this work: a complete diagnostic and intervention system for measuring engagement, understanding its drivers, and systematically transforming Zombies into Zealots. The manuscript is currently in agent submission with target publication in 2026/2027.
